Soccer isn't the biggest sport in the US, even with the World Cup taking
place as I write this review. As the games in South Africa cause
billions to cheer around the world, American's might look for something
else to do with our time. However, it would be nice for people to get
interested in something that contains some sort of soccer. This may have
been the cause to bring together world's most popular sport with one of
the world's most popular casual games in Soccer Sudoku 2010.

Not all portable games are made the same. Some titles are slapped
together quickly and thrown against a wall to see what sticks. Others
are built with care and made to not just complement another title but to
one day be its own game. With the new portable companion to the console
title Skate, Skate It, for the iPod Touch and iPhone takes fans of the
Skate series to a new place but is it worth playing for those new to the
world of Skate?

As the sixth season of the Deadliest Catch begins, the Discovery Channel
and Hands-On Mobile have released a new game for the iPhone and iPod
Touch based on the popular reality show. This new game features an
interesting set of mini-games bases on the duties of the Alaskan
fishermen.
The Deadliest Catch game on the iPhone isn't your
normal iPhone app. It doesn't give a huge amount of incite on the daily
lives of the fisherman as they set sail to hunter for crab unlike the TV
show. It does however give you a good idea of the stress that goes into
planning a trip of this magnitude or at least you feel that way as you
plot out fishing stops and cruise the frigid seas.

When it comes to iPod Touch and iPhone games there's a certain criteria
all gamers look for in a portable game. These criteria mainly consist
of quality, quantity and ease of use. With a name like 101 Games in 1
you instantly think that someone got it right and finally tried to hit
every possible point for a portable game. This is the game cost concise
gamers have been waiting for, or is it just mishmash of over used games?

It's normal for a game to get released on multiple platforms. In fact
in this day and age it's a must. For portable games this is less the
case since the DS has a completely different set of controls in
comparison to the PSP or even the iPhone. This is why it was so strange
to see Rockstar Games release Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on the
iPod after the PSP, and even after it was originally released on the
Nintendo DS.
The game used controls that were appropriate for
the DS, so when it was re-released for the PSP it felt a little reduced
in style. This was largely due to the lack of a touch screen. Now the
game is back on a system with a touch screen. Hopefully with Grand
Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars returning to a system where we can see it in
its original glory.
