I have a tendency to be a curmudgeon when it comes to marketing video games. When I'm at a 7-Eleven I really don't think about picking up a copy of the latest and greatest games but I'm slowly coming around to idea. The new promotion from Sony that puts the image of Kratos the cups at the nation’s favorite convenience store is a little hard to swallow. However it only takes a spoon full of free content to help the marketing going down.

Throughout the months of February and March participating 7-Eleven Stores will feature all things God of War. Cups for both Big Gulp and Slurpee drinks will not only have the image of Kratos but it will also contain a code redeemable online with a number of special prizes. It's a pretty cool way to get you fill of the Greek hero before the release of the game.
