One of the hottest new features on the Xbox 360 is the new Games
on Demand. With both the Xbox 360 and PS3 trying to constantly one up
each other, it would be easy to assume that Sony would follow suit with
their own version of Games on Demand. This is unfortunately not
something that's in the cards right now.
In a recent
interview with IGN, Sony's Pete Dille made it clear that isn't going to
happen. The situation breaks down like this, Sony wants to continue
bringing PSOne and PS2 games to the PS3 by way of downloads. However
full out PS3 games aren't in the works right now.
This
might sound like a set back for PS3 owners but in actuality this is a
good decision. Games on the PS3 are generally huge and if start
downloading these games one after another you'll quick full your hard
drive.
