Sad news for all those still using your old school Xbox units, the service you know and love is going away. Microsoft is taking LIVE out of your life. Yes, the service that changed the way we game is becoming an Xbox 360 only service.

On April 15, 2010 MS is pulling the plug on Xbox LIVE for the first Xbox. This event will more than likely only affect a small minority of gamers but it is important to prepare for switch.

To prepare for this life changing switchover you’ll need to head to your local game store and/or online retailer and buy a newer system. If you’re still interested in Xbox 1 games then pick up a large hard drive. You can download them now. Oh and before I forget, if you are picking up an Xbox 360 for the first because of this switch, welcome to gaming post 2005.
